Promoting environmental education
The Australian Association for Environmental Education Inc. promotes environmental education by:









publishing a quarterly newsletter, annual journal, a members' directory and occasional papers and reports
conducting a biennial national environmental education conference
running professional development workshops and seminars
networking between environmental educators
working with conservation groups and other bodies
lobbying governments and agencies
offering an annual travelling scholarship to its members
undertaking consultancies.

Australian Journal of Environmental Education
The Association's annual professional journal presents ideas to stimulate debate about formal, informal and community environmental education teaching and research. Articles include research reports, program evaluation and case studies, reports of projects and teaching practice/techniques, essays on policy and philosophical issues, literature reviews, book reviews and discussions of previous articles.

Quarterly newsletter - ozEEnews
All full members receive an electronic or hard copy of the quarterly newsletter, which contains information about environmental issues, innovations, developments, reviews of books and resources, notices and reports of conferences and meetings.

Members Directory
This annual publication is a networking tool, linking environmental educators with similar interests. Our Association is unique, involving a broad cross-section of environmental educators from diverse areas such as schools, government agencies, industry, universities, technical and further education centres, zoos, museums, parks and reserves, field study centres, and community and conservation groups.

Special Interest Group Forums
The association has a range of SIG's that enables members with similar interests the opportunity to keep each other up to date with the latest new, research and program development in that area. These include Young People and Citizenship, Teachers and Teacher Education, Early Childhood, Decade of Education for Sustainable Development, Transformative Learning and Research student and early career researchers.


Membership Application
Membership is renewed annually from October 1. Those joining between July and September receive 15 months membership.  Membership queries can be sent to: aaeeau@yahoo.com.au
